RafterSignal Privacy Policy

Information you provide

When you create an account, RafterSignal processes your name, email address, email verification status, and authentication records. When you submit a document, we process its filename, file type, size, original file, transcription, and saved explanation.

How documents are processed

Uploaded originals are stored using Polsia's R2-backed file service. Document text is extracted and sent through Polsia's configured AI service when needed to create a transcription or explanation. The original and saved results are associated with your account so you can return to them. Email verification messages are sent through Polsia's email service.

If you use the two-document comparison workspace, we also process your project name, optional property and renovation notes, the filenames and file details for each agreement, extracted document text, and the saved comparison report. Project data is associated with your account. Document files must be supported PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP files no larger than 5 MiB.

Site visits

When the site analytics beacon is enabled for a deployment, a page visit may send the page path and a random browser visitor identifier to Polsia. The browser identifier is kept in local storage. This beacon is separate from your saved document records.

Access, retention, and deletion

Saved documents are available only to the account that submitted them. You can delete an individual saved document in the document workspace. You can also request account deletion from the account settings page or follow the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion removes the account's application records and requests removal of stored originals. Storage cleanup is attempted as part of deletion; this policy does not promise a specific retention period or timing for copies held by service providers.
